Adult Education is now Education For All (15 years and above age group)

ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram, also known as the New India Literacy Programme (NILP), is a centrally sponsored initiative that aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. 

ULLAS is built on volunteers. Surveyors conduct door-to-door surveys at district or block level to identify both non-literate individuals and potential volunteer teachers, who may be school teachers, civil society workers, ASHA workers or Anganwadi workers. Learners are paired with a Voluntary Teacher, register on the ULLAS App — available on iOS and Android — and learners finally sit the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Test (FLNAT), after which they are certified.
