On the occasion of International Literacy Day, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Hojai, organised the inauguration of the "Women Literacy Campaign at Namati GP, Doboka, in collaboration with the ULLAS Scheme, Department of Education.

The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of literacy, particularly among women, and encouraging community participation in the ULLAS Scheme.

The programme also highlighted the objectives of the Women Literacy Campaign and the importance of providing learning opportunities to non-literate adults.

As part of the programme, four Surveyors who worked extensively in the field to identify, mobilise and register beneficiaries under the ULLAS Scheme were felicitated in recognition of their dedicated efforts and valuable contribution towards the successful implementation of the campaign.

The programme concluded with a collective commitment to strengthen women’s literacy initiatives and ensure wider participation of community members in the ULLAS Scheme.

The event served as an important step towards promoting women’s empowerment through literacy and lifelong learning.
